Who we are

Port Accounting Services Limited ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data submitted through these calculators. We are registered in England & Wales under company number 04422965, with our registered office at 7 Bridge View Park, Henry Boot Way, Hull, England, HU4 7DW. You can contact us at rich@paccs.co.uk.

What we collect

• Nothing, unless you ask us to email you a result. The calculations themselves run in your browser. Figures you type in are not sent to us or stored anywhere while you are simply using a calculator.
• Contact details you give us: your name, email address and phone number, submitted through the "Email to Me" form.
• The figures behind that result: when you request a copy of a result, the inputs and outputs of that calculation are included in the email and in the record we keep of your enquiry.
• Technical data: your IP address, recorded briefly for rate limiting and to protect the forms from abuse.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To send you the result you asked for — lawful basis: performance of a contract / steps taken at your request (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To contact you about your enquiry where you ticked the consent box — lawful basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw this at any time.
• To keep the forms secure and prevent abuse — lawful basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in protecting our systems.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who sees it

Your enquiry is emailed to our team and stored in our systems. We use third-party providers to host this site, store the data and deliver email; they process data only on our instructions. We do not share your details with anyone else except where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

• Enquiry and contact details: 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted — unless you become a client, in which case our client engagement terms and the statutory record-keeping period (normally six years) apply instead.
• Rate-limiting records containing IP addresses: no more than 24 hours.

Your rights, and how to request deletion

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access a copy of your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to how we use it, request it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, email rich@paccs.co.uk with the subject "Data request" and tell us what you would like us to do. We will respond within one month. No identity documents are needed beyond confirming you control the email address we hold.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

These calculators do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may store your last-used inputs locally on your own device so a page is easier to return to; that information never leaves your device and you can clear it through your browser settings.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use data you have already given us will be notified to you by email.
